Modern Family is an American TV series that follows the story of Jay Pritchett, his daughter Claire Dunphy and his gay son Mitchell Pritchett.

As what the series’ title suggests, Modern Family is indeed a reflection of the modern times. Well, not literally modern, but modern in the sense that the family’s stories are quite odd or out of the ordinary. Each of the family members’ story is untraditional in each and every sense.

Jay(father ofClaire and Mitchell) is married to a much younger, sexy and foxy Colombian woman named Gloria. Gloria has a pre-teen son with her former Colombian husband. Claire is married to a very cool, funny and sometimes weird man named Phil; they have three children. On the other hand, Mitchell is living with his partner Cameron; they have adopted a baby vietnamese girl named Lily.

Modern Family shows how these three families deal with events of a particular day. It leaves a lesson on how to deal with each member of the family, no matter what kind of family you belong into, down to the issues of trust. The three families are really cool but I’d have to say I love Mitchell and Cameron very much. They’re so cute. ^_^

The TV series, and for the nth time I will say it, is very funny and will make you look forward for the next episodes. Note though that every episode is not interrelated with the other or not in chronological order so it’s still okay to miss one episode and watch the next one without being misled or confused. Though I’m very sure that missing an episode will not be part of the plan because every episode is just too good to be missed. Too bad Modern Family only has 24 episodes and I don’t think there will be a Season 2 anytime soon. Really sad news. =/
