Eclipse is the third installment of the widely acclaimed novel by Stephanie Meyer ‘Twilight.’

Eclipse focuses more on Veronica’s revenge to the Cullens by hunting Bella through the newborn vampires that she created.

On the other hand, Jacob professed his love to Bella and was certain that Bella’s feeling to him was also mutual. Due to the heartbreak that Edward gave Bella on the last movie ‘New Moon,’ Bella’s father favored Jacob more over Edward, which gave Bella and Jacob the chance to be even more closer. However, Bella broke Jacob’s heart after the latter learned that Bella is already engaged with Edward.  The thought that Bella would soon become a vampire gives Jacob the creeps that’s why he’s making every possible move to convince Bella not to marry Edward or choose him over the cold-blooded vampire.

Due to the threat in Bella’s life, the Cullens and the werewolves decided to join force to protect Bella from the newborn vampires, who are out on their way to kill her, as commanded by their creator Veronica.

Eclipse, I must say is a satisfactory film. It’s not that bad but not too good either. I actually expected even more. I was kind of dissapointed with the fight scene between the werewolves and Cullens against Veronica and the newborns.

Come to think of it, the Cullens trained so hard to prepare for the newborns and in just a snap, that’s it?! Oh well, I guess, and as what’s expected, Twilight is no True Blood nor Vampire Diaries so the main story really focuses more on the love story of Edward and Bella, plus the presence of a third party in the person of Jacob, which is actually a relief. I mean, come on,admit it or not, Edward and Bella love story would be dull without Jacob. And I know it’s not just me, but it’s very evident that people are swooning over Jacob more than Edward. I must say that they go for a Jacob-Bella rather than an Edward-Bella love team.

Cinematography and effects were nice. And I love how big and adorable the werewolves are. Maybe it’s because of time constraint or maybe due to other factors, but I really believe that Eclipse could’ve been better if the scene between the Cullen, werewolves and newborn vampires were prolonged.
