New Moon
Not a fan of Twilight but watched it. All the more not a fan of New Moon but still watched it on its first day. And guess what? I am loving New Moon more because Jacob Black has more exposure in it. Well, you can take that as character exposure or abs exposure.
Compared to Twilight, New Moon is more action pack considering that the werewolves are already present. I love the dogs more than the blood suckers you know. Cute DOGS!!! Though this may seem so ironic because they’re really huge.
The instances wherein Edward keeps on appearing as a vision whenever Bella is about to do something drastic is somehow creepy. Needless to say, I totally hate those parts. It’s creepy and funny (not in a positive way) at the same time.
My heart goes to Jacob especially when Bella returned to Edward after that vampire left her without a valid reason given to her. All the more Jacob will be heartbroken on the next book Eclipse. No, I did not read the book, I keep on over hearing its audio book.
Why can’t it be Jacob and Bella? After all, that unpredictability seems nice. Looks like more and more people, or should I say young girls, are rooting more for the hunky Jacob than the lanky Edward. Or is it just in the particular movie house where I watched this flick?
Anyway, allow me to vent but I can’t just see why people love Edward more than Jacob. Edward is not the typical vampire. I don’t even know if he can save Bells. Sorry for the comparison, but in True Blood, Bill does not look really good but he has the angst of a vampire. Same with Stefen of Vampire Diaries. They don’t look really good but they look tough enough. Unlike with Edward, he’s not so good looking and yet he looks so soft, gangly and lousy. Okay, enough already, TEAM EDWARD might strangle me to death.
Back to the film. The werewolf effect is great but I must say it can be better. The character of Jacob is the love. He fits his role well. Alice is so cute and bubbly. It’s nice seeing Charlie and Bella being comfortable with each other. Edward is… the usual. Maybe his character calls for it. ‘Nuff said.
