500 Days of Summer
I was at first hesitant to watch this film because I ain’t really in the mood to watch cheesy, romantic flick these days, but then again, so many people are gabbing about it so I thought to myself that it won’t hurt to give it a try.
Anyway, the film is kinda’ good. It’s unpredictable which is one of my weaknesses when it comes to movies, and most of all, the kind of story telling done was nice.
Characterization was good but I just can’t erase from my mind the new kid then, who is sporting a long hair, and now the main star of 500 Days of Summer. Yep,I first saw Joseph Gordon-Levitt way back ‘97-’98 I guess. He’s the new kid on Hollywood that time and I usually see his face all over US Teen Magazines. He’s not really good looking so maybe that’s one external factor why I delayed watching this flick.
Zooey Deschanel, the one who played Summer, was really beautiful. Not that jaw dropping but she’s a real charmer. Her character as Summer perfectly fits her.
I love the fact that this movie is not cheesy. It’s good that they stick to their tag line “This is not a love story. This is a story about love.”
I mean, come on, their story really happens and exists. No strings attached relationships, open relationships, FUBU or whatever you want to call it. No matter what others say, IT DOES EXIST!
One thing I find kinda’ “off” or sort of cheesy is the name of the girl that Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) met on the last part. Come on! Do they really have to do that??? In advertising, it’s a HARD SELL.

watch it to satisfy your curiosity. ^_^
“This is not a love story. This is a story about love.” so nice ^_^ i want to watch this too!
