KamikazeeThis coming Friday, May 22 at 6:00 PM, local bands and artists like Bamboo, Callalily, Itchyworms, Kamikazee, Parokya ni Edgar, Sponge Cola, Pupil, Rico Blanco, Kitchie Nadal, Christian Bautista, Gary Valenciano and a lot more will take part in ”MTV EXIT Live in Manila,” free concert at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds as a part of MTV EXIT’s campaign against human trafficking.

Believing that the power and influence of music is a great force for change, MTV Philippines Marketing and Communications Director Ronald Esguerra is positive that getting local bands and artists to perform on their free concert is the best medium to let their message reach millions of people, especially the youth, and to educate them about the dangers of human trafficking and exploitation.

When asked if the artists who will be performing on May 22 for the war against exploitation were personally handpicked by MTV, “Yes we did.We just looked at their profile and those who are being followed.Basically iyong pinakasikat para mas marami kaming ma tap,” says Esguerra during the presscon of MTV EXIT last May 18.

After the kick off concert in Manila,MTV EXIT will have a nationwide tour and concert to let their message reach more people. MTV EXIT will be in Angeles, Pampanga on July 04, 2009, in Davao on September 12, 2009 and in Cebu on November 14, 2009.
