At one look, she can be easily mistaken for as a model. With a towering stature, svelte figure topped with a well chiseled look, Marié Digby, the YouTube sensation that captured the heart of over 20 million online viewers is defintely something to look forward to.

With beauty and talents rolled into one, it is safe to say that Marié (pronounced as mah-ree-AY) is definitely a jack of all trades. Aside from being a great singer and a guitar player, which is quite obvious already in most of her videos in YouTube, Marie also plays the piano and writes songs.

Digby’s claim to fame took off after winning a contest for Pantene’s Pro-voice competition in the year 2004. She decided to drop college to pursue her love for music by playing at night clubs in L.A. where she was later on discovered and landed a record deal with Disney’s Hollywood Records.

However, it was through Marié ’s YouTube videos (www.youtube.com/user/MarieDigby) that she won the heart of millions of people all over the world. She started doing covers of popular hits from Maroon 5, Nelly Furtado, Natalie Imbruglia and even Linkin Park then upload them in YouTube. But what really skyrocketed Digby’s singing career was her cover of Rihanna’s phenomenal hit “Umbrella.” If one would reckon, the same song also gave Rihanna the fame she’s enjoying right now.

When asked if why she did cover songs instead of performing and uploading her original songs, Marié explained that people don’t know her yet so uploading original songs instead of songs that are already familiar to others would not work.

Asked if how she feels traveling around the world for series of shows and concerts.

“It’s a dream come true. Finally it’s happening. And I feel like I’m in a dream,” exclaimed Marie.

Digby also said that she’s not very familiar with other YouTube sensations like her but the name Charice Pempengco rings a bell. “I’ve heard all about her,” said Digby and wishes to hear Charice sing one day.

So, what do fans expect from this half-japanese half Irish girl from L.A. on her concert?

“I’m a little bit nervous because it’s going to be just my second show playing the new songs on “Breathing Under Water” so you can expect a little bit of the old album “Unfold” and a lot of new songs as well.”
