Looking back at 2011: My year end report

How time flies, 2012 is here. The year the world is going to end, or so what almost everyone thinks. Blame it on the film 2012.

And as my traditional year end report, I will be presenting this time, in no particular order, the highlights of my year 2011. ^_^ (Thank God for the blessings!)

1. TRANSFER OF LAND TITLE UNDER MY NAME. I mentioned in my year ender last year that I was informed by my developer and PAGIBIG that the transfer of the land title under my name is currently on process. This year, I was able to secure a copy of the title with my name in it. ^_^ But I have to mention though that this is still not the original copy since my house is not yet fully paid. Nevertheless, this is still an achievement for me.

2. GETTING MY HOUSE FIXED. Finally, before Christmas, I was able to get my front yard landscaped, put a nice, loft type ceiling and paint the interiors white. I already bought some curtains and curtain rods and next on my list is having the floor tiled. I already alloted money for it so my target is right after New Year. Hopefully I can have my house furnished in no time.  It will just be a studio type for now since I still don’t have enough money to construct a loft type house.

3. VIETNAM TRIP. I’ve been to lots of places for the year 2011 but my only international trip for this year, which is in Vietnam, is what I considered very memorable and special. Aside from the fact that it was a rather long vacation, not our usual 3 days and 2 nights stay, having a good company in the person of Liz, Hazel and Anne made it more fun. This historical and cultural trip to Ho Chi Minh is definitely one for the books. This is the first time we felt how’s it like to be a millionaire. Hehehe. The food trippings, shopping spree and drinking sessions every night were superb! Like Batanes, I would like to go back again to Vietnam very soon. I feel at home there even though I was having a hard time understanding their english at first. Well, we eventually get used to it after a day. ^_^

4. EXPLORING THE PHILIPPINES. Vietnam is our choice of international destination for 2011 but visiting local places in the Philippines is definitely something that I always look forward to ever year. Even though our budget is always limited, we never let money get in the way of our exploration. We always find a way to check out budget fares and affordable but nice hotels. ^_^ For the year 2011, I’ve/We’ve been to Guimaras and Iloilo (March) Marinduque (for the nth time), Corregidor and Palawan (April) Vietnam and Baguio (August) Cagayan de Oro, Bukidnon and Antique (November). For the year 2012, our calendar is already full and cannot accommodate anymore trips, not unless they are for FREE. Hehehe. If you want to invite us for an all-expense-paid trip, check out our calendar of trips and try to squeeze in. Again, we only accept all-expense-paid trip. Hahaha. No more money to shed. Coron (March), Marinduque (April), El Nido, Palawan (June), Malaysia (September).

***********************************************************************************************************

Before laying out my blueprint for 2012, let’s look back on my 2011 blueprint and see if I was able to accomplish some.

  • I will get my house fixed so I can go there every week end and design it for the next Halloween and Christmas. Even studio type bungalow will do for now. (Hmmm…haven’t spent my Halloween and Christmas in my house yet but I’m on my way. It’s soon to be tiled.)
  • Exercise in whatever form. Boxing again, badminton or HipHop Abs. (Went back to boxing again and just finished my 10th session, I will try Muay Thai this coming year)
  • Finish all the books that’s been accumulating dust over the past months. Hmmmmm…more than 10 books. Good luck to me! =D (Ummm…next please. Hey, I did say good luck…Hahaha)
  •  Hopefully, more projects to come my way. ^_^ (Keep ‘em coming! I have two freelance writing and one social media jobs right now. Hope to keep and balance all of them so they can help pay my bills.)

AND FOR MY 2012 BLUEPRINT

  • Furnish my house…all in black and white with a little splash of color
  • Find a stable job. Hahaha. I need to plan out my career before 2013.
  •   SURPRISE ME!

GOODBYE 2011, WELCOME 2012. Hoping you’ll be good to all of us…

HAPPY YEAR OF THE DRAGON!!!
